FROM THE VICE-CHAIRMAN'S DESK

 To keep pace and for fulfilment of the growing need for expansion of education, SUS group of institutes has established various colleges viz., College of Pharmacy, College of Management and Information and Technology, College of Biotechnology, Women Engineering College and Polytechnic College which are spread in an area of 45 acres land. Building of all the colleges are gigantic architecturally superior and airy, appears as university campus. To further promote the cause of education and research, the group has established a new college, SUS College of Research and Technology to catercertain programmes viz. Biotechnology and Microbiology in the broader area of Life Sciences since 2009. The college is affiliated to the Punjabi University, Patiala.

 Our society has long range goals as to provide quality education and train the students in the area of their specialization so that they can face the challenges in the millennium. Other goals to pursue Industry- Academic interaction is an attempt to solve the current problems of the Industry to carry out research in the areas of Biotechnology and Microbiology and to organise continuing education programs to keep ourselves abreast of the developing trends in this field.

 Our vision is to provide value-based education and mould the character of the young generation through a synthesis of management and spiritually so that their earnest Endeavour to achieve progress and prosperity in life is matched by an ardent desire to extend selfless service to the society, one complementing the other.

 Since research has continued to grow and thus the teaching faculty is able to offer qualified advice to the students and recommend the most suitable study material and methodology for their requirements. Expert technical assistance is constantly available to ensure students achieve the highest possible performance in their studies.

We are progressing steadily towards achieving the set goals.

 At the end, I must add that the present generation of students have lot of challenges ahead and they are to be met with courage and commitment and then only goals can be achieved.
